FAQ

Common questions about Trials Survivors Early Access, Endless Mode rules after 0.1.8.7, Codex, Lifesteal, demo content, and platform support.

Is there a free demo?

Yes. A free demo is available on Steam for Windows, macOS, and Linux. The demo includes partial progression, 1 biome, 5 levels, 27 spell evolutions, and controller support. Relic and XP progress carry into the full game.

When did Early Access launch?

Trials Survivors entered Steam Early Access on June 8, 2026 at 15:00 UTC, developed by Angry Wisp.

What is Endless Mode now?

After 0.1.8.7, Endless is only on Unfair+ and Incremental. Difficulty rises every 5 floors (those floors are 2-minute Survival Trials), density is +30%, elites start at 5, Monster Health is always on Endless cards, and floor skipping is gone.

Does the game have multiplayer?

Early Access is single-player. The official roadmap lists co-op multiplayer as the final major EA feature before 1.0.

Is controller fully supported?

Controller support improved in 0.1.5–0.1.7. Remapping and full keyboard control arrived in 0.1.6. Mouse and keyboard remain best for manual aim.

How does manual aim work?

Your primary spell is aimed with the mouse. Other spells auto-target. Toggle click-to-attack in settings. Skill Opacity uses I / O.

What carries over between runs?

Relics, Cat Coins, and global XP / relic capacity persist. Auto-save lets you quit mid-run. Spells still reset each run.

How many spell evolutions are there?

Launch had 95 evolutions. Updates added Black Hole, Sword Fall, Frost Ball reworks, and more. Track them in the Hub Codex.

What is the Codex?

Hub Codex (0.1.8.0) tracks spells and evolutions; entries unlock the first time you pick that upgrade.

How does Lifesteal work?

Equip the Lifesteal relic. Kills trigger regen based on enemy type. Tuned in 0.1.8.1. Essential for deep Endless.

What is Constellation Ban?

Spend 3 Fate Dice (0.1.7.4) to ban a constellation you have no spells from, shaping your upgrade pool.

Is there a level cap?

No. Leveling continues indefinitely. XP past 150 is linear so late Endless leveling stays reachable.

How do fusion evolutions work?

Reach level 10 on a base spell, then pick the evolution. Align patrons and hoard Fate Dice — secret fusions are not guaranteed.

Is there a DPS meter?

Yes — toggle it in settings as of Live Update 0.1.8.8. A post-round total may replace the live meter later.

Why do YouTube guides use different class names?

Creators sometimes use nicknames (Hunter for Ranger, Cryomancer for Invoker, Dancer for Duelist). This wiki prefers in-game English UI names and documents aliases on the Tips page.

How can I improve performance on dense runs?

Lower Skill Opacity with I / O, enable GPU/OS upscaling (0.1.8.3), trim low-DPS spells with the 0.1.8.8 meter, and close heavy overlays. Extreme spell-load optimization is on the developer roadmap.

What content is coming next?

Angry Wisp has discussed poison physical spells bundled with a new class and constellation, more trial types, an Endless leaderboard after balance work, relic passives (0.2), and co-op before 1.0. Dates are not fixed.

What are Monster Cards in Endless?

After each Endless floor you choose enemy buff cards. Since 0.1.8.7, Monster Health is always one of the two offered stats, so sustain (Lifesteal) and clear speed both matter as floors climb.

Where is the Fox Relic Merchant?

The fox merchant sells permanent relics for Cat Coins in the hub / meta layer after early progression. Mid-run Cat Merchants sell consumables and temp buffs — not evolutions.

Is there an Endless leaderboard yet?

Not yet. An Endless leaderboard is planned after further balance work. Community deep floors are shared on Steam Discussions and creator channels.

System Requirements

Trials Survivors targets a wide range of PC hardware. Extreme monster and projectile counts can stress GPUs — upscaling support (0.1.8.3) and ongoing spell-system optimization aim to help late Endless performance.
